Star Residences

NEW DEFINITION OF LUXURY LIFE

A new definition of luxury living

Quality life requires not only poetic landscapes and picturesque scenery, but also flourishing flowers and busy traffic. Benchmark residential buildings are not isolated individuals, but a combination of top-level architecture and top-level resources.

Only luxurious decoration quality defines the model of luxury home; only prosperous core can achieve quality life.

Kuala Lumpur’s new fashionable landmark – Star Residences is one of Star Development’s projects. It is located in the prime location of Jalan Yap Kwan Seng in the city center, adjacent to the landmark Petronas Twin Towers. It is equivalent to the CBD areas of Beijing’s China World Trade Center, Shanghai’s Lujiazui, and Shenzhen’s Futian. It is a comprehensive commercial and residential project .

The Star Residences project is worth RM3 billion and includes 5 star-rated restaurants and entertainment centers and 3 luxury residential apartment projects. Among them, the 58-story RT1 and RT2 are both top-level residences, and the 57-story RT3 is the Ascott Star KLCC 5-star luxury serviced apartment .

The project combines the expression of fashion and art, with star decoration and abstract design art of the night sky , meeting the needs of a world capital life with the standards of celebrity residences; the exterior uses glass curtain walls, metal and colored textures to emphasize the luxurious theme of “fashion and the facade of the city”, like a crystal sculpture .

The mosaic murals, which are placed on the top floors of the three residential buildings: RT1-Polar Bear in the Sea of Fish, RT2-Mysterious Animals with Flying Butterflies, and RT3-Hippopotamus and Flocks of Birds in the Ocean , were conceived and conceptualized by Mr. Alan Koh, CEO of the developer, Alpine Return Sdn Bhd , who was inspired by nature, mythology and environmental protection .

The three mosaic murals are 57.90m long and 35.95m high, and are installed at an altitude of +250m. The mosaic work on the RT1 tower is the largest mosaic mural art work ever created in Malaysia (size: 21300(W)×12050(L)mm), and was selected into the Malaysia Book of Records .

“ The site of the project makes Star Residences stand out and become an iconic building in the KLCC area, ” said Mr. Alan Koh. “However, we had to challenge ourselves to create a classic visual narrative that captures and showcases the opulence, altitude and height of Star Residences. Therefore, we chose mosaic mural art to express it, and boldly adopted a combination of platinum, gold, white and black mosaics to bring its visual sense back to the magnificent Roman murals, but with a very modern and shocking sense. ”

” These majestic mosaic murals are the first of their kind in the region and the country of Malaysia. They are a gift to the locals, guests and visitors to Kuala Lumpur, ” Alan Koh said in a statement.

This series of customized works has rich colors, mainly black, white, gray and golden yellow. The greatest difficulty in the entire production process is to determine the color, material and color matching. The JNJ mosaic brand design team and craftsmanship team have gone through countless repeated thinking and carving, and finally selected more than 30 kinds of mosaic materials; in order to make the color transition of different materials harmonious, mix and match richly, and interpret the texture suitable for nature, aesthetics and architecture, it is necessary to repeatedly match and debug. Especially the vortex-like fish school, after careful debugging, looks more connected and distinct, achieving a better visual effect.

The patterns, shapes, outlines, background colors, etc. of the entire series of works require multiple manual adjustments of details to make the overall picture softer, more coordinated, and smoother.
